Obesity & Weight Management



Main Idea:

Obesity is defined as an individual who has gathered so much of body fat that it might have a bad impact on their wellness. If a person's body weight is at least 20% greater than it should be, he or she is regarded obese. If your Body Mass Index (BMI) is between 25 and 29.9 you are regarded obese. If your BMI is 30 or over you are consider as an obese person.

What is Body Mass Index (BMI) :

The BMI is a measurement which is derived from your height and bodyweight. Although it is considered to be a useful way to calculate healthy bodyweight, it does not measure the percentage of human extra fat.
Weight management is a long-term approach to healthy life. It includes a balance of healthier eating and workout to associate power expenditure and power intake. Weight management does not include fad diets that promote quick, temporary weight-loss. It concentrates on the long-term results that are achieved through slow weight loss, followed by storage of an ideal bodyweight for age, sex and height.

Why Weight management is Important?

In addition to assisting you feel and look better, attaining a better bodyweight is good for your overall health and well being. If you are overweight, you have a higher risk of creating many illnesses such as type two diabetic issues, cardiovascular illness, and some types of cancer. So initially we should take care of our diet first what we are eating and what we are drinking. So we should plan each and every plan to overcome this problem.

Causes of Obesity :

At an individual stage, a mixture of excessive food energy intake and a lack of physical activity are thought to explain most situations of being overweight. A small number of instances are due to mainly to genes, medical reasons, or psychological sickness. In contrast, increasing rates of obesity at a social stage are sensed to be due to a readily available and tasty diet, increased dependency on vehicles, and automatic production.
